The holidays are upon us!
Let me encourage all of us as leaders to take some time letting the individuals in your group know why you are thankful for them specifically. Taking some time to thoughtfully and specifically tell people why you are thankful for them is incredibly encouraging. It will also go a LONG WAY when it comes to building your relationship with the people in the group. It’s also good for our hearts to take some time to be thankful for the people in our lives.
Everyone loves Christmas! We will be kicking off our Christmas Series on Sunday, November 26th at 9:30 and 11:00.
Let me encourage you to schedule your Connection Group’s Christmas Parties the weeks following Sunday, December 3rd or 10th. Christmas parties are a great opportunity to get other people involved, so don’t feel bad letting someone else in the group plan it! Have one person run food, have one person run games, etc. Look for ways to get people involved. Let me encourage you as the leader to have a short devotional to share as well.
It is crazy that it’s almost 2018. Lots of people like to stay up and ring in the New Year and if your group enjoys doing that, throw a New Years Party! Some people like to take time to pray in the new year, some folks like to share the goals and prayer requests for the upcoming year. Having a New Years Party can be a meaningful and fun times.
